Responsible Sports Betting in Canada: Summary Report

RGC’s Centre for the Advancement of Best Practices is pleased to release a Canada-wide sports betting study that can help support the development of evidence-informed strategies and best-practices for responsible gambling that are most relevant to single-event sports betting in Canada - particularly in the online space.

This baseline study led by Dr. Alex Price includes a high-level assessment of regulatory and operational issues relating to the legalization of single-event sports betting in Canada and an extensive survey (n=5,003) of player support needs and expectations.

RGC is proud to have led this important study that leverages the perspectives of different industry stakeholders that provide evidence-based knowledge we can use to create and develop more effective responsible gambling tools and resources specific to sports betting.
